  • What to expect in session

Sessions will look different depending on the teenager. Some teens prefer more creative expressions in session while others prefer a more ‘talk therapy’ approach. Sessions may involve games, sand tray, writing, play, music or art. Ultimately, I want your teen to play an active role in their treatment because they are the best expert on themselves.

In supporting your teen, additional recommendations may be provided as your teen is just one member of your family system. Oftentimes, a struggling teenager is an invitation to reflect on deeper needs of the family system. Parents or caregivers may received recommendations for parent coaching, co-parenting therapy, family therapy or their own individual therapy.
